My name is Alex Reyes, I am a former soldier in the Army Reserves who is now a teacher. I am a dedicated individual seeking a position on your Town Council. Prioritize the safety of Herndon Residents

By collaborating with Herndon's police with strategies to address crime, encouraging residents to be actively involved in addressing security concerns while participating in neighborhood watch programs, and Providing resources and information to help residents protect themselves and their families, we can address Herndon's security concerns and create a more resilient and secure community for everyone.

Increase Communication Between Town Council and Residents

If elected, I promise to Improve the communication with the residents of Herndon. Many people are unaware of the Town Council's initiatives and priorities. By enhancing transparency and engagement, we can ensure that the community remains informed and involved in shaping the future of our town.

Promote policies that strengthen Herndon businesses.

Strict policies have created challenges for numerous businesses and families in meeting their basic needs. If elected as a Member of the Town Council, I am committed to reducing the tax rate; advocating for fiscal accountability; and streamlining governmental regulations to alleviate the stress of owning a business and caring for your family.

I am truly grateful for your contribution and will continue to fight for the issues that matter most to our Herndon's community and its residents.

Why are you running for town council?

I am running for Town Council because I believe in community service, having previously served in the Army reserves for six years as my previous  of community service. I am ready to continue my commitment to  in a more local level.

What are your thoughts on Comstock Development?

I support responsible development that enhances the community without sacrificing its traditional appeal. I would prioritize public input and ensure that any development aligns with the town's long-term vision.

Where are you planning on donating your salary?

As I mention my potential voters, I plan on donating half of my salary back to local Herndon charities. I believe the salary belongs to the people. If Elected, the places I plan on donating to The American Legion, A Womans Choice, and She Believes in Me.

I believe in a fair and just society where everyone has equal opportunities regardless of race or gender. I support policies and initiatives that promote merit-based success rather than focusing on the latter.
